This year Your Volunteer Fire Department is beginning its 78th year of service to the communities within and around Arbutus, Catonsville, & Halethorpe. As one of the busiest volunteer companies in Baltimore County we continue to average over 3000 calls a year for Emergency Medical, Fire, Rescue, and Swift Water Rescue services. During our 78th year of service we look forward to continuing to provide the services you expect and deserve as well as visit area schools to educate our most precious resource, our children, in fire prevention and safety at home and in school. In order to continue to be prepared we are once again asking for your financial assistance.

We understand that you have many choices to support an array of volunteer organizations and may still be recovering economically. Therefore we want to assure you that your Volunteer Fire Department continues to strive to provide the best service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your support last year assisted us with the purchase of a new ambulance which is scheduled to be delivered this spring and for that we say Thank You! In preparation for the future we are developing a plan that will support the renovations of our facilities where the EMTs and Firefighters spend most of their time. This upgrade is planned for the fall and is estimated to be approximately $350,000.

This is our primary request for assistance, other than our photo fund drive which is typically held in the fall. As with other volunteer fire companies in Baltimore County we DO NOT conduct telephone solicitations. This mailing is also handled by members of our department which enables us to receive 100% of your donation. We’d also ask that you check to see if your employer offers matching donations for employees who donate to charitable organizations. So please check with your company’s financial department to see if they participate in this type of program.
