Dear business partner,
The Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary in 2013. As we approach this year of celebration we are faced with the reality of replacing our 20 year old Heavy-Duty Rescue Squad at a cost of approximately $750,000. If you have donated to us in the past we would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for your support.
Your business is in our area of protection. We realize the high demand on your time although we’d like to ask that you take a few minutes to consider this essential request. Volunteers provide the community with protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! We are here for you; to protect your life, your assets and your livelihood. While our time is donated, we do rely on generous support from throughout the community to continue to provide our members with the highest level of training and the most up-to-date equipment to be able to perform our jobs safely and efficiently.
The success of this fund drive has a direct effect on the quality of services we can provide. We understand that today’s economic situations demand that we be even more conscious of the financial decisions we make as a business in our community, we face those same issues. We do not want to compromise on our emergency services. If you call 9-1-1 in an emergency, you expect quick response from trained Firefighters/EMT’s with proper tools to handle the situation. We want that too-but we cannot do it alone.
So we may continue to assist you with the excellent protection that you deserve. Please help us continue providing the high level of service this community needs by supporting our Squad Replacement Fund Drive with your generous donation. A donation of $100 is about 27 cents a day, far less than the cost of a daily cup or coffee or soda. All donations of $250 or greater will be listed on our webpage with a link to your business.
