Dear Community Supporter, March, 2021
This year Your Volunteer Fire Department is beginning its 83rd year of service to the communities within and around Arbutus, Catonsville, & Halethorpe. As one of the busiest volunteer companies in Baltimore County we continue to average over 4,000 calls a year for Emergency Medical, Fire, Rescue, and Swift Water Rescue services. We look forward to continuing to provide the services you expect and deserve as well as visit area schools to educate our most precious resource, our children, in fire prevention and safety at home and in school.
We understand that you have many choices to support an array of volunteer organizations, therefore we want to assure you that your Volunteer Fire Department continues to strive to provide the best service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your support last year allowed us to set funds aside towards the down payment for the replacement of our 22 year old Fire Engine and 7 year old Ambulance, for that we say Thank You!
This is our primary request for direct assistance, other than our photo fund drive which is typically held in the fall. As with other volunteer fire companies in Baltimore County we DO NOT conduct telephone solicitations. This mailing is handled by our department which enables us to receive 100% of your donation.
We’d also ask that you check to see if your employer offers matching donations for employees who donate to charitable organizations. If you shop online via Amazon we’d ask that you support Arbutus VFD by utilizing Smile.Amazon.com which provides the same products and utilizes the same login information used for Amazon. We also have listed a range of items that may be donated directly to the department via Amazon Smile Charity Lists under “Your Lists”.
Please take a few moments to send in your tax deductible check or money order to the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department in the enclosed return envelope, make your donation online or visit Smile.Amazon.com and select an item on our Charity List. If you would like to find out more about your Volunteer Fire Department, or are interested in joining, then please stop by or visit us online!
Thank You for your continued support of the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary.
